Spreading The Peekaboo Love
What’s better than ice cream? Ice cream with a purpose, of course! For Team Peekaboo, that purpose is doing better by eating better. In this post, we are putting the emphasis on ‘doing better.’
As we close this wild year (not “wild” as in spring break Cancun in 2001…. “wild” as in riding a blind-folded bronco as it heads towards a cliff), we give thanks to our frontline workers putting themselves in harm’s way.
To show our appreciation, we selected hospitals around the country and delivered pints and pints of happiness (and veggies, of course!). Starting in our own backyard, we donated ice cream to Mount Sinai Hospital in Miami Beach and Joe DiMaggio’s Children’s Hospital in Hollywood, Florida. See some great images here:
Next, we donated to the non-profit Feed the Children, one of the leading charities in the U.S. dedicated to ending childhood hunger both in the U.S. and abroad. During this pandemic alone, they have distributed over 25 million pounds of food and essentials for COVID-19 relief. We were proud to support their efforts in the Northeast and the Midwest.
Finally, we're moving to the West coast to sprinkle some gratitude upon Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center and the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
Do heroes wear scrubs? Yes. Do they love Peekaboo? Also, yes. So if you know of a hospital that would love a care package, please reach out to us at carrots@peekabooicecream.com.
